In Kiev from March 3 to 5 passes VI Annual Ukrainian Energy Forum of Adam Smith Institute, which acted as informational partner including the Association "Ukrainian Subsoil users." The forum was organized with the aim to review all the events of winter, get the latest analysis and forecasts, and establish business contacts, as Ukraine seeks to increase domestic energy production, diversify and strengthen its own energy security.
 
Among the speakers who spoke on the first day of the Forum - Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community Janez Kopacz, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Oleksandr Svetelik.
 
Participation in the forum was the national gas producers: Shell, Ukrgasdobycha, JKX Oil & Gas, Geo Alliance, Burisma, Arawak Energy, Neftegazdobycha, Cub Energy, Serinus Energy, Cadogan Petroleum and Misen Energy; senior officials from key government agencies and state-owned energy companies, such as the State Geological Survey, the State Commission on Mineral Reserves, National Commission exercising the state regulation in the areas of energy and utilities, "Naftogaz of Ukraine" NAK "Nadra Ukraine", State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy and the Ministry of Finance.
 
The Forum was able to discuss the issues of diversification of energy sources; operating conditions for exploration and extraction; licensing regime and the implementation of PSA projects; unconventional gas; service industry in the oil and gas industry; works projects on the shelf and in the deep waters of the Black Sea.
 
Held a round-table debate between the government and gas companies on ways to improve cooperation in order to maximize domestic production, as well as interactive debate between the National Commission regulation in the areas of energy and utilities and key players in the market, which formed part of the traditional Focus Day on electricity.
