Ukrgasvydobuvannya increased commercial gas production to 13.9 bcm in 2024

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, a member of Naftogaz Group, increased commercial natural gas production by 5% to 13.9 bcm in 2024, compared to 13.2 bcm in 2023, the press service of Naftogaz reports.

Drilling

According to the company, 83 new wells were commissioned last year, 60 of which were production wells and 23 of which were exploration wells.

Naftogaz notes that in 2024, the company also increased the drilling of directional wells, which allow gas production in hard-to-reach areas. The company drilled 60 such wells, compared to 51 in 2023.

In addition, the company drilled 370 thousand meters during the year, 14% more than in 2023 and the highest figure in recent years.

As a reminder, gross natural gas production in Ukraine in 2024 increased by 2.2% to 19.12 bcm.
