Russia introduces licensing of rubble and gravel from Ukraine

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a government decree introducing before the end of this year, import licensing gravel and crushed rock, for the most part from Ukrainian suppliers. This measure is in relation to suppliers from countries not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, introduced unilaterally from 14 August to 31 December 2015.
The resolution states that the licensing allegedly to avoid a sharp decline in production of non-metallic Russian enterprises in the current year to increase their load capacities and stimulate demand for domestic products. Also introduced the licensing of rubble "to ensure the safety of imported gravel and crushed stone and support non-metal industry."
"Import rubble of qualitative characteristics, including environmental security, the Russian equivalent yield" - says the explanation for the decision.
