Law proposed to cancel the rate of 70% for state-owned enterprises
The Parliament of Ukraine (Verkhovna Rada) sent on second reading a bill on the reduction in the rate of rental fee for use of mineral resources in mining from 70% to 14-29%. The relevant draft law №2835 "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on cheapening the cost of gas for the population" in the second reading was supported by 205 MPs at the minimum required 226.
For sending the bill on second reading vote 310 MPs. Speaker VR Volodymyr Groisman said that the bill will consider on Thursday, November 12th.
It should be noted that the People's Deputy Yuri Levchenko proposed amendment, which provides that the rental rate should be reduced only on the production of gas used for the population, and not produced for commercial purposes, but it does not collect the required number of votes.
Also editing voiced leader of the "Fatherland" Yulia Tymoshenko, in the transitional provisions proposed to indicate that due to lower rents on gas production must be in proportion to lower gas prices for households and tariffs for heat and water supply. However, three times it was not supported by the People's Deputy (208 votes (twice) and 213 votes)
In addition, the amendment announced by People's Deputy Nina Yuzhanina, in which it was offered the phased decline in rental rates for "Ukrgasdobycha" from 70% to 29% (this rate proposed to establish on April 1, 2017) twice was not supported parliamentarians (182 votes and 175 votes).
Recall, CEO of NAK "Naftogaz Ukraine" Andrey Kobolev said that the decline in rental rates for the gas production will not affect the rates.
