Before the announcement of the result, Minister of Energy Ihor Nasalik announced that the main contender for the victory, Caspian Drilling Сompany, withdrew its application. He noted that the withdrawal of the application is connected with pressure on Azerbaijan from the russian federation.

The next day, July 27, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced on his Facebook page that he wanted to cancel the PSA tender for the Delfin area. "I suggest to the Government to consider the possibility of announcing a new tender to attract a gas production company on the Ukrainian shelf of the Black Sea," he wrote.
