Offshore projects of the Black Sea region and the main players of this region
In the Black Sea basin, deposit operator companies are divided into three groups: those that entered and are working, those that want to exit, and those that cannot exist, this observation was proved by the observer of the upstream segment, Naftorynok - Volodymyr Dolnyk at the Odesa Offshore Conference 2021 (OOC2021).
Not only Naftogaz is currently making efforts to attract investors and partners to offshore projects.
Thus, during the year, Turkey completed five deep-water wells in the Black Sea at the Sakarya deposit, where it discovered more than half a trillion cubic meters of gas since August last year. In addition, 10 days ago, on the 13th of spring, preparations for drilling the Turkali-5 well began. In 2022, the construction of a pipeline with a length of about 169 kilometers is planned to connect wells with the main network.
Dolnyk talked about this and much more at the OOC2021 conference.
It should be noted that the topic of the conference became especially relevant after the Naftogaz of Ukraine received a shelf development license. We will remind you that this year the research of the Black Sea shelf, conducted by the Norwegian PGS on behalf of Naftogaz, started.
