In the West of Stellar Diamonds noted 35 percent increase predicted by the standard JORC reserves at its kimberlite dike-1 (Dyke-1) in Tonga, Sierra Leone. In a statement, sent to Rough & Polished, said that the results of the initial test samples from kimberlite showed 37 percent increase in diamond content - up to 165 carats per hundred tonnes of ore mined.
CEO Karl Smithson (Karl Smithson) argues that the combination of high quality diamonds to their high content in breed shows that the kimberlite dike-1 is one of the most "valuable" kimberlites in the world at a price per ton of rock in situ.
"It is important that this potential is in three parallel kimberlite pipes that make up the system kimberlites Tong" - he added. "This could include and kimberlite dike-4 (Dyke-4) length of 1 km, which recently took samples showed that diamond content of about 110 carats per hundred tonnes of ore at an average cost of $ 140 per carat."
In Stallar said the price per ton of rock in situ - $ 239- $ 324 and the cost anticipated stocks at Kimberly is $ 214- $ 290 million.
