The Ukrainian Geological Survey (Derzhgeonadra) in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers issued four more special permits to NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" on the Delfin Block, located on the Black Sea shelf.

The Karpaty projects (within the framework of which a cooperation agreement was signed with OMV and PGNiG), Tight Gas (Yuzivska field), and the Black Sea shelf areas - "Delfin" and "Skifska" are strategic for the Naftogaz Group. In particular, 3D seismic on the "Delfin" will be conducted by the Norwegian PGS.

To this end, the Cabinet of Ministers amended Resolution No. 615, Clause 8, which stipulates that only Naftogaz of Ukraine or its subsidiary company (100%) may apply for a special permit without holding an auction.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, Roman Abramovskyi, said that in the near future, a decision will be made to transfer the Black Sea shelf to the state-owned company Naftogaz of Ukraine without tender. He said this in an interview with "Focus".
The Ukrainian Geological Survey (Derzhgeonadra) and the Naftogaz Group, within the framework of cooperation aimed at expanding the mineral resource base of Ukraine and increasing hydrocarbon production, held a working meeting on ways to reduce risks for investors in the development of the Black Sea shelf, the press service of the agency reports.
As early as March, the Delfin offshore oil and gas field can be tendered in several lots in order to attract as many international companies as possible to gas production in Ukraine.
